Located on the northern border of San Jose de Cabo Avenue in Baja California, Mexico, the project is called “Bamboo Flower” and is the first of a set of nature built projects (Puerto Raiz) to be completed for various important events.

“竹之花”以庭院这一概念欢迎来访者，并将他们分布到这个空间当中，引导他们走向私人区域，即女士或男士的卫生间。芦苇造的蛋形墙体围起了一个小院子，自然地随着外部的芦苇丛而运动，既围合出了这个空间，又不与自然环境分离。芦苇的种植者创造出了私密性，将自然的围护结构延伸到室内，营造出与外部相同的自然环境延续到内部的感觉。

“Bamboo Flower” welcomes visitors with the concept of a courtyard and distributes them into the space, leading them to private areas, the ladies’ and gentlemen’s bathrooms. An egg-shaped wall made of reeds encloses a small courtyard and naturally moves with the reeds outside, both enclosing the space and not separating it from the natural environment. The reed growers create privacy, extending the natural envelope into the interior, creating the feeling that the same natural environment as the outside extends into the interior.

Two ramps lead to the restrooms, leading visitors astray between the vertical bamboo strips that form private booths and the textured walls with urinals. From the walls, to the light fixtures, to the structure itself, the delicate and elegant decoration forms the various elements of the whole.

数根竹结构柱组成了中央花朵型的结构，花朵开到芦苇墙的边缘，并与水平向的圆环一起，形成结构上相互依存的网格。中央的混凝土立柱支撑和平衡了这个结构。带张紧器的金属箍构件形状像曼陀罗，可以使不同元素之间保持协调和平衡。竖向的竹竿有助于在横向上支撑整个构造体，在产生节奏感的同时也制造出无序感，好像它们本就生长在那儿一样。

Bamboo columns form a central flower-shaped structure that blooms to the edges of the reed walls and, together with horizontal rings, forms a structurally interdependent grid. A central concrete column supports and balances the structure. The metal hoop member with the tensioner is shaped like a mandala to keep the different elements in harmony and balance. Vertical bamboo poles help support the structure horizontally, creating a sense of rhythm and disorder, as if they were there.

These materials evoke a local tradition of construction that is being sublimated today. In this harmonious composition between traditional and modern ecological construction techniques, the elements used are mostly part of the vernacular architecture of Baja California, Mexico (reed, bamboo, wood). On the other hand, the bamboo theme is designed to promote the use of this natural resource that exists in the region.

由于这种资源还未被开发成一种高贵的建筑材料，所以这个项目也是在地方层级上寻求一种范式的改变。将金属构件运用到连接中，使传统技术与工业技术之间可以进行对话，这种二元的对比促进了传统建筑技术的复兴，防止它们就此消失。

Since this resource has not yet been exploited as a noble building material, the project also seeks a paradigm change at the local level. The use of metal components in the connection enables a dialogue between traditional and industrial techniques. This dualistic contrast promotes the revival of traditional building techniques and prevents them from disappearing.
