VTN建筑事务所在越南樟比的沿海地区完成了 “Casamia社区住宅”。该竹建筑的特点是有一个大的茅草屋顶和一个拱形的竹子天花板，其灵感来自于樟比的本地植物种类–尼帕棕榈。

VTN Architects has completed “Casamia Community House “in the coastal area of Cambi, Vietnam. The building features a large thatched roof and a vaulted bamboo ceiling inspired by the nypa palm, a native plant species of Cambie.

卡萨米亚社区住宅包括两层–部分下沉的一楼和高耸的二楼。总楼面面积为1600平方米（17,222.26平方英尺），以休闲为重点的项目包括一个健身房、两个咖啡馆和一个郁郁葱葱的室外游泳池。茅草屋顶主导了长长的立面，以保护建筑免受盛行风的影响，而较小的玻璃外墙确保室内沐浴在自然光线中。

The Kasamiya community house consists of two floors — a partially sunken first floor and a towering second floor. With a total floor area of 1,600 square metres (17,222.26 square feet), the recreational focus includes a gym, two cafes and a lush outdoor swimming pool. Thatched roofs dominate the long facades to protect the building from the prevailing winds, while smaller glass facades ensure the interior is bathed in natural light.

VTN建筑师选择了竹子作为主要的建筑材料，因为它在越南很熟悉，也有声学上的优势。竹子结构有很多层编织的竹子元素，使它们能有效地吸声。茅草屋顶也有助于吸声，意味着里面可以举办社会活动，而不会变得太吵。

VTN architects chose bamboo as the main building material because of its familiarity in Vietnam and its acoustic advantages. Bamboo structures have many layers of woven bamboo elements that make them effective at absorbing sound. The thatched roof also helps to absorb sound, meaning social events can be held inside without it becoming too noisy.

混合竹子结构的特点是22个拱形框架的柱子和桁架与支撑相结合的结构。该结构达到近9米高，建立在一个混凝土基座上。

The hybrid bamboo structure features 22 arched frames of columns and trusses combined with supports. The structure reaches nearly nine metres high and is built on a concrete plinth.

除了向尼帕棕榈树致敬外，拱形的竹子天花板提供了更大的屋顶跨度。该结构还能抵抗水平力，有助于防止建筑受到越南中部风暴的影响。此外，茅草屋顶与一层金属网相结合，有助于保护内部免受外部自然力的影响。VTN解释说，Casamia社区房屋希望成为一个例子，说明自然材料可以创造出持续数百年的耐用结构。

In addition to paying homage to the Nipah palm trees, arched bamboo ceilings provide greater roof span. The structure also resists horizontal forces, helping to protect the building from storms in central Vietnam. In addition, the thatched roof, combined with a layer of metal mesh, helps to protect the interior from the forces of nature outside. VTN explained that Casamia Community House is intended to be an example of how natural materials can create durable structures that last for hundreds of years。
